An official artist bio
Elisa Blynn is a multidisciplinary transformational artist and creative healing arts facilitator. Mz. Blynn received her B.A. in Performing Arts from University of Florida and arrived in NYC in 1996, making her niche performing in world premiere ensemble plays and originating roles in NYC's independent theater and film communities. She worked with NYC’s Faux Real Theater company, The Flea Theater, The Inverse Theater, the LAByrinth Theater Intensive and LAVA Brooklyn. In 2002, she established an ongoing transformational art journey called OFf the MuFf, a 9-week program for women which culminates in an art immersive, ritual theater happening. Her Superhero-bouffon character, "Femin-Inferno", embodies sacred feminine rage, opening audiences to their inner rage and moving them into empathy, compassion, and connection. Through collaborations with The Heartist Collective and other artists, Mz. Blynn creates interactive, immersive public art experiences that foster human connection and the opportunity for participants to feel seen, heard, and celebrated.
Elisa is passionate about creativity as a necessity for a healthy society. During the 2020 quarantine, she created an installation through the Chashama organization called “Love in the Time of Corona”. Her studio became a living Art Lab that brought daily visible art-making and creative vibrance into public view during a time of unprecedented hardship and isolation, enlivening the neighborhood and inspiring joy and upliftment
Following a renewed spiritual foundation in the Appalachian Mountains of North Carolina, she burthed a new art vernacular, a collection of Mini-Art paintings called Oracle Art TacTiLes.These sacred art totems are inner-active and interactive, as they are meant to be held and viewed up close and they serve as invitations for intimate art communion with oneself! She offers a commissioned intimate art communion journey, which is a dynamic, experiential program of facilitated Arts practices that culminate in a final art piece, a “Living Art Mudra” of the shared experience.
Elisa’s current palate of creative offerings is a culmination of her broad spectrum of training and experience in both the arts and her own personal journey of transformation and awakening. As a Creative Response Unit, she is alert, ready and able to bring all of her vast resources to bear in whatever ways best serve, in any given moment.
